Spotted! Famous Faces at the 2013 Tullett Prebon London Boat

The stars are lining up at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show
which is clearly the place to be! On Saturday (opening day) the
nation’s favourite tenor, Alfie Boe unveiled the
new Sunseeker Predator 68 and San Remo and performed the Simon
& Garfunkel classic, Bridge Over Troubled Water to a
delighted crowd. Chris Evans and Suzi
Perry were also on hand for the launch.
Four time Gold Olympic medallist Sir
Ben Ainslie also visited the Show on Saturday, unveiling
his America’s Cup chase boat as well as taking part in a live
Q&A on the Henri Lloyd stand. Out on the water, four times
British National Freestyle Jet Ski Champion Jack
Moule was back performing exciting displays throughout the
weekend and will return next weekend to entertain the crowds once
more. Sunday saw Wasps flanker James Haskell join the Musto
Clothing stand to beat the sailors at their own game; notching up a
new record 0.27 seconds clear of the nearest competition.
Footballer, John Terry also visited the Show
during the first weekend.
On Monday, esteemed TV presenter, David
Dimbleby visited the Old Gaffers stand to announce 50th
anniversary plans for the Old Gaffers Association and was presented
with a commemorative shirt.

Friday sees world renowned wakeboarder Shaun Murray cross the
pond to come to the Nautique stand for signings and Q&A while
the inaugural CNM Estates UK Star Class
Regatta will draw a host of famous faces from Friday. More than
20 renowned Olympic and World champion sailors will be
participating, including triple Olympic medallist Iain
Percy, double Olympic medallist Andrew
Simpson and Olympic medallists Luke Patience, Stuart
Bithell, Stevie Morrison, Ben Rhodes, Pippa Wilson, Ian
Walker, Mark Covell, Michael McIntyre, Bryn Vaile, Luke Patience,
Stuart Bithell, Stevie Morrison and Ben
Rhodes. Sail-designing artists in attendance include
David Begbie, Christian Furr, EINE, Jaime Gili, INSA, Eley
Kishimoto and MEAR ONE. The First
Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope will be in attendance
to present prizes.

On the final day of the Show, BBC DIY SOS’ Nick
Knowles will be in attendance to collaborate with the Sea
Cadets on their latest launch. Also from the BBC, “Coast” presenter
Mark Horton will be speaking in the Knowledge Box
about his Old Gaffer, how he has restored her and her influence on
his career. The Knowledge Box will also
play host to yachting Cartoonist, Mike
Payton, who has cartoons published in PBO &
Yachting Monthly and Chef, Richard Fox who will be
giving tips on nautical cookery.
