one-hour taster helps to dispel myths and answer key questions
about preparing your boat and crew for bluewater cruising.
A panel of experienced cruisers and industry experts will share
their knowledge on topics including great boat gear, cruising
essentials, sailing with family, and choosing a boat.

Expert Panel will include
Cruising author Liza Copeland has sailed over
160,000 miles with her husband and family, visiting 114
countries. She has a wealth of practical experience in
sailing with children and teenagers in addition to cruising a
production boat short-handed. She currently sails Bagheera
with husband Andy around Canada's Pacific northwest.
In 2008 Bernard circumnavigated in his
Westerly Oceanlord 41, Golden Eye of Chichester and has also taken
part in the ARC, crossing the Atlantic twice. Bernard, who is also
an Ocean Yachtmater, will be sharing the practical experience of
over 40,000 miles of ocean cruising and discussing what worked for
him on his own boat.
Rob is a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and
Examiner and Principal of The Hamble School of Yachting in
Hampshire. He has sailed professionally for the last 17
years. During his time as a delivery skipper he completed
four transatlantic crossings and sailed widely in the Mediterranean
and Northern European waters in a variety of yachts.
Andrew is Director of World Cruising Club.
Having sailed from an early age, he has taken part in many RORC
offshore races, including two Fastnets. On leaving the Royal Navy
in 1989, he went sailing for a year, during which time he
participated in the ARC and then cruised the Caribbean, before
starting work with World Cruising to help run the first round the
world rally Europa ’92. Andrew has cruised extensively, more
recently in his replica of Spray, exploring the West Coast of
Thomas is a professional skipper and
experienced offshore sailor of both monohulls and catamarans.
Thomas is also an examiner with the German Sailing Association and
is an advisor on fitting out your boat for long distance cruising.
He has taken part in and prepared yachts for the ARC several times
and has been actively involved in the development of the Parasailor

Cruisers' Question Time will be held on both Saturdays
of the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show at 2pm. Please make sure you
register for the correct day (12 or 19 January 2013) as places are
strictly limited and we expect to book-up very quickly.
