School visits to the show

Organisers of the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show are offering an exciting opportunity for local schools to visit this year’s Boat Show free of charge on a first come first serve basis – places are limited this year!

The Show organiser in partnership with London Borough of Newham are offering local schools free admission with a special invitation to ‘Careers, Skills and Education Week’ from Monday 14 – Friday 18 January 2013, providing the opportunity to learn more about maritime history, boating and working within the industry.

Booking your trip

  1. Fill our online registration form here or download the form
  2. The registration form will be processed and you will be sent an email to confirm whether you have been successful. All applications received will be responded to
  3. If your visit has been confirmed you will be required to fill in the Schools Safety Form and the Photography Consent form

Free Teachers’ Pack

We can help get the most out of your day, providing you with a Teachers' Pack which includes essential information to help plan your trip. We offer a free teacher's site visit prior to your trip to help you get the most out of the day and also to help with the Risk Assessment.

Free Site Visits

It is important to ensure the safety of your students. To assist you with planning for an enjoyable day out at the Show please download the Schools Safety Form and return to the Show Organisers. We do provide the opportunity for schools to carry out a site inspection prior your trip to the Show. This can be carried out as follows

  • Site Visit before Saturday 12 January - You will be provided with a ‘Build Up / Breakdown Pass’. You MUST wear sensible shoes and report to the Media Centre in the Platinum Suite, to make them aware you are on site
  • Site Visit Saturday 12 January onwards - The Show will be open to the public and you will therefore be provided tickets to gain entry.

Tickets

We no longer have a child's ticket for the Show, therefore you will need to show your confirmation letter sent from Organisers and your schools register for all children aged 15 years and under to the security staff on arrival at the Show entrance. Do not surrender these documents to security, you must retain these.

On Entry please make your way to the Media Centre, located in the Boulevard to hand in a copy of your register. This is required as part of ABC Auditing and a condition of the free tickets offered.

The Media Centre is located in the Boulevard, Platinum Lounge on the 2nd floor. Clearly write the name of the school, date of attendance to the Show and number of pupils and hand this to a member of the Show Team. Should you not be able to provide this on the day, please fax a copy to 01784 475869.

On arrival to the Show please direct your coach driver to the Drop off/ Pick Up point located at the West Entrance of ExCeL as highlighted on the map in your Teacher's Pack.

 

Colleges, Universities, Adult Education, Educational Institutes or Social Clubs

If you are an educational institute catering for pupils 16 years or above, there is the opportunity for you to arrange a visit to the Show for free. This is limited to the number of institutes permitted under this scheme and also the number of tickets per institute.
