NBS Charitable Giving and sponsorship

Annually National Boat Shows, the organiser of the Southampton and London Boat Show provides support to a large number of charities, fund-raisers and good causes. On a daily basis National Boat Shows receive many requests for tickets, monetary and raffle prize donations from equally deserving causes but unfortunately we cannot offer help to all. Below are some of the guidelines that we follow.

Official Charities

Each year National Boat Shows selects a maximum of three Official Charities per Show, these are:

· The Official Local Charity

· The Official National Charity

· The Official Marine Charity

Each Official Charity selected will benefit from headline Charity status, being featured on Show promotional material and Show website as well as the British Marine Federation website as the owner of National Boat Shows, a donation presented at the Show, a donation of tickets as well as ticket offer to advertise to their own database.

In addition, the PSP Southampton Boat Show Ladies Day has its own Official Charity. Ladies Day is a chance for the Ladies at the Show to dress to impress and the day is always packed with activities such as a ‘Best Dressed’, Racing Challenge and much more.

To be considered as one of National Boat Shows Official Charities for either Show please submit a short written application on headed paper to the address below. Proposals will be considered no later than the preceding 1st April for the Southampton Show from 2013, applications for 2012 shall be submitted by 1st May 2012 and 1st July for the London Show.

Donations

National Boat Shows will not in general make monetary or stand space donations to charities other than those selected as an Official Charity. However, applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

Should you not wish to apply for Official Charity status to may apply for Show tickets for raffle/fund raising purposes; these applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
